Growth financing through accounts receivable factoring.

PFI Financial LLC began operations in 1993 as Philadelphia Factors, Inc. The driving force behind its creation was the frustration experienced by the founders in obtaining working capital and growth financing for smaller companies. Size, lack of equity capitalization, industry considerations or business difficulties too often were obstacles to obtaining bank, asset based, venture capital or growth financing. Jim Lewis and Syd Willson believed that most businesses could qualify for financing provided that the financing was properly structured and the funding source had sufficient experience to determine that the businesses were sound and could be operated properly.

In 2004, Philadelphia Factors became PFI Financial LLC and merged into it the business of Star Financial, LLP. Since inception, PFI has provided accounts receivable factoring and asset based financing, to over 140 companies and presently serves 30 active factoring clients. While factoring activities have been concentrated in Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey, PFI has provided accounts receivable factoring services to businesses in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin as well. Since inception, PFI has financed over $800 million in sales by its clients.

PFI provides capital and growth financing, to businesses ranging from startups to those with sales of up to $20 million. Typically, clients have been unable to obtain growth financing or sufficient funding on acceptable terms from banks, asset based lenders and venture capital firms. Although the primary basis for funding is the client's accounts receivable, PFI also provides over-advances based on purchase orders and inventory. The Company believes a high level of personalized service is the key to a strong financing relationship. Unlike alternative funding sources, PFI has no minimum or maximum limits on funding, nor do we require spousal guarantees or additional collateral.

We are comfortable working with clients in a wide variety of industries, ranging from commercial pretzel baking to cloud computing who have been unable to obtain working capital or growth financing. Funds have been provided for start-ups, LBO's, turnarounds, high growth businesses, inventory purchases, purchase orders, debtor-in-possession financing, interim funding during equity offerings, export and import financing, post-bankruptcy financing, refinancing of factoring and banking relationships, Federal & state tax workouts and bridge funding.
